WHY THE DANDELIONS?

A couple of reasons...

  • Dandelions, to most, are considered a rather boring, annoying weed. In fact, a client once described herself to me that way, "I feel like an ugly, stupid weed that grew in the wrong place and nobody likes or wants me there."

  • But dandelions are masters of survival! They reduce erosion and fertilize the grass and are more nutrient dense than most of the veggies we normally consume.

  • They're the first and probably most important "go to" for our bees who then pollinate the fruit and vegetables we rely on.

  • The scientific name for the dandelion (Taraxacum officinalis), comes from the Greek word for “disorder” and “remedy” and they've been used for centuries by the Greeks, Romans, Chinese, and many other cultures as a healing remedy for a great array of ailments.

  • You can make a wish on them!

Pretty cool metaphors for how we can feel sometimes when we've not had our strengths acknowledged. When we feel like we don't belong and wish for something more, something different. And when we decide it's time to heal.

YOU ARE A DANDELION!

You have everything you need inside of you.

Never forget it.
